Purse Stitch Scarf

This doesn't have a home as of yet. I'm sure I'll give it to someone at some point, but I didn't start it with a specific goal in mind. Also didn't have a specific pattern. I used the "purse stitch" which is the November 8 page on the 365 Knitting Stitches Perpetual Calendar.

Cast on 28 and then just did that stitch until I ran out of yarn! Used 3 skeins of Patons SWS. This was my first time using this yarn. It's interesting, for the most part it's a pretty heavy yarn, but it does have moments of thick/thin. The end result is really soft and yummy feeling, but knitting it was slightly irritating, not scratchy, more like my skin was slightly sensitive to something in it.

Close up!

I tried to stretch out the stitches in this one. When it's "at rest" it's a nice thick stitch, but it looks really cool when it's stretched out a bit. I think the stitch would probably work well as a string bag, it seems like it'd do that expanding thing quite well.

I think you made a mistake in row 2. Do you mean k every stitch and not k every row?
